Serving Americus and Sumter County Since 2016
The Americus-Sumter County Land Bank Authority (ASCLBA) was established in 2016 for the purpose of revitalizing local neighborhoods by returning tax-delinquent, abandoned, and blighted properties to productive use. The ASCLBA works in partnership with both the governments of the City of Americus and Sumter County to accomplish this goal.
In its mission, the ASCLBA joins nearly 200 other land banks nationwide, with over 20 located right here in Georgia. These land banks across the USA are each dedicated to improving their communities by beautifying local neighborhoods, helping to raise local property values, creating public spaces, and eliminating fire and crime hazards.
